Hi Ganzengeile! The Romanian community thanks you for having accepted to answer some questions.

It's an honor to be part of that interview, thank you very much for choosing me!

You are a well-known figure Sokker worldwide. It is not a big secret that an Administrator in Sokker has a lot of tasks to do. Is your position as Admin compatible with being the German NT coach? Certainly you have your private life too, do you have enough time for everything?

Honestly? No!
When I got elected as German NT coach I had no idea that I'd become admin. To be a moderator and a NT coach is no problem, but as an admin you have to do much more and you have a much bigger responsibility than as a moderator. But we have an extraordinary NT staff in Germany, they took over most of the work, I only had to create tactics and to set the line-up.
I'm very happy that the season is over pretty soon and that there are only two more NT matches left. Even though I don't spend much time anymore, there's still some things to do, you can't fool the community because they voted for you. So I'm trying to do my best with the short amount of time I have for the NT.
And the time constraint is also the reason why I won't candidate anymore as a NT coach for next season.

Let’s talk a bit about the recently finished World Cup. Germany, like Romania, was bitterly knocked out in quarterfinals with the same one goal difference which was decisive enough. What feeling did you experienced right after the match?

It was probably the worst match I've experienced so far here in Sokker. I still remember that I returned around midnight and watched the match. We were down 0-2 very early and got a red card. I thought it's over, but somehow thanks to the substitutions we managed to return. And the decisive goal was just a few minutes before the end, their striker walked frontside through our defender and scored, a very very bitter end.
The tactics wasn't good aswell, so firstly I was angry with myself. Paired with bad luck and a very frustrating Sokker day was born.
Moreover because Argentina was probably the easiest opponent to get. We had them in the qualification and beat them both times. But their 6-men defense killed us because our winger wasn't as effective as usual. And the previous round we could manage to beat the former World Champion Italy, so it was dissappointing to lose against an opponent like Argentina.

Argentina was the Romanian opponent in the group phase and we won against the blue-white South Americans. If the fate had accidentally brought Germany versus Romania, which would have been the chances? :)

It is hard to say. Romania has the much bigger user base and therefore surely the better quantity of good players. If we played in the quarter finals Romania probably would have won because our best and only two good midfielders and our best striker were injured.
However, it would have been an interesting match for sure.

Do you have an explanation why Romania, with more than 4500 users, lost against Eesti, nation that has less than 1000 users?

It's hard to say, I don't know the strategy of the two countries.
But it is important that there are managers who're only training players for the NT according to how the NT staff wants to be them. So it's important to have a scouting system which is not connected to the NT coach. The scouts then tell the managers how their player should be trained. That's especially important for smaller countries with not that many players. If this system is working over years, even a small country can be able to achieve fanstastic results!

You are coming from the country with the White Cross on its national flag. Why did you chose Germany and did not stand for Swiss NT elections?

I was already Swiss coach for three seasons, so there was no need to candidate again. Furthermore, Germany has a much stronger team and I wanted to achieve great results. I took over when they were on position 17 in the national ranking. I thought they should be better, but I was surprised that their team wasn't that good at all. Germany for example still hasn't a triple divine striker, not at all, none of the strikers is even close to triple divine!
So basically I wanted to coach a very good and since I know the language it was logical that I choose Germany.

Geg, we thank you once again for your time. Would you like to tell or wish something to our readers and Romanian users?

Thanks everybody for reading this interview! :-)
And never give up and keep the patience! Sokker isn't an easy game, it needs patience to get to the top.
And after a loss, always try to find what you personnaly can improve. Don't try to blame the engine, you can't change it. Try to improve yourself, Sokker is a game where you always have room for improvements! ;-)

P.S. Actually wher comes “Geg” from? :P

This is an easy question! :-) GeG is kind of the nickname from Ganzengeile. Ganzengeile actually consists of the three wordparts "ganz", "en" and "geile". An user in the Swiss forum once shortened Ganzengeile to GeG, and since it's much easier it became common in Switzerland and more and more even international managers know that GeG and Ganzengeile are the same manager ;-)
